T SCHOOL RECIPE OF THE DAY

I must say this is a treat even if you’re not eating Paleo. I have actually used butter for this which is a bit naughty but sometimes your body just needs it. These are best eaten as a small snack in the afternoon. The almond flour and honey actually work extremely well in re-creating this English classic.

 

 

Servings: 4-6

Cooking Times

  • Preparation Time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

 

Ingredients

    • 250g ghee or salted butter
    • 100g honey
    • 200g almond flour
    • 50 g coconut oil

 

Procedure

1.Preheat your oven to around 168C.

2.Cream the butter or ghee with the back of a wooden spoon.

3.Add the honey and fold in the almond flour.

4.Add the coconut oil and mix well until all the ingredients are combined.

5.Line your baking tray with grease paper add the short mix.

7.Flatten and smooth out and either prick with a fork or draw diagonal lines with the back of a butter knife.

7.Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until golden brown.

8.Leave to cool or eat hot if you like 😉 and serve.
