tRICIA COLLINSI’ve been a client at Pilates 1901 for the past year and a half.  I work part time as a cardiac nurse at St Lukes Hospital, and full time as a mom of two precious kiddos.  I love running, pilates, surfing, traveling with my husband and kids, cooking, and reading/learning everything I can about nutrition!

I first participated in the 21 Day Sugar Detox Challenge last June.  I was intrigued by it, because I have Crohn’s disease (an autoimmune disorder of the digestive system).   read more…

I don’t have any major problems with it, but it’s never been really clear what foods I should avoid or what is the best diet for me. But come on!  I know as well as any other person that processed, packaged food and too much sugar isn’t helping anyone!  Despite my health issues, I knew I was eating too much junk AND I’m a sweets fanatic!

Changing bad habits is HARD WORK! BUT, this program, the support group of people to track my progress & interact with, kept me motivated to stay committed!  How I felt at the end of that first challenge was amazing!

My daily eating habits & the knowledge of what dumping a huge dose of sugar into my body will negatively do to it, has kept me on track.  My thinking, my eating, and my goals have been permanently changed for the better.  a I’m excited to help others experience this change too!  I am co-leader of TEAM ORANGE.
